At Exotic French Bulldogs of North Carolina, we are dedicated to excellence in every aspect of our breeding program. We meticulously select our dams and sires based on their superior lineage, genetics, and health, often limiting our breeding pairs to as few as one dam and one sire at a time. In a market saturated with French bulldog puppies, we prioritize quality over quantity, ensuring only the finest puppies join loving families.
Each puppy is lovingly hand-raised in our home, receiving our undivided attention and care. We personally handle every task, no matter how small, to safeguard their environment and protect their developing immune systems from potential bacteria or viruses. Our commitment to raising healthy, happy puppies reflects our passion for the breed and our responsibility to their well-being.
French Bulldogs thrive on human connection, blossoming in environments where they can bond closely with a devoted family or individual. Their happiest moments come from receiving ample attention and interaction, making them ideal companions for those who cherish constant companionship.
When introducing French Bulldogs to children, it’s crucial to teach proper handling techniques and ensure supervision during playtime to keep both the puppy and child safe. Renowned for their affectionate and gentle nature, Frenchies make exceptional playmates, loyal companions, and even therapy dogs, bringing joy to every interaction.
Adaptable to various living spaces, French Bulldogs flourish in both cozy apartments and spacious homes, requiring minimal space to thrive. However, their sensitivity to extreme temperatures means they should live primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment, not outside. Bred for companionship, your French Bulldog will eagerly seek to spend most of their time by your side or with other family members, strengthening the bond that makes them such cherished pets.
To begin the journey of welcoming a French Bulldog puppy into your home, please complete our online puppy application. We carefully review each submission, a process that typically takes one to three business days. Once reviewed, we’ll reach out to discuss the next steps. We understand the excitement of adding a new puppy to your family, and we appreciate your patience, as these puppies are cherished members of our family before they join yours.
If we determine your home is a suitable match, we’ll provide a contract to protect both parties and request a non-refundable 10%-15% deposit to reserve your puppy. After receiving the signed contract and deposit, the waiting period begins, as puppies must reach at least eight weeks of age before leaving their mother. Full payment is due upon pickup or delivery.
For families in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, we may arrange a controlled meet-and-greet with your puppy before the eight-week mark, prioritizing the puppy’s health and safety.
French Bulldogs are affectionate, people-oriented dogs with a strong desire to please, making them generally easy to train. Their eager-to-learn nature helps them respond well to consistent, positive training methods. Additionally, French Bulldogs are typically straightforward to potty-train, quickly adapting to routines with proper guidance.
Neutering or spaying your French Bulldog is highly recommended for their overall well-being. These procedures often lead to fewer health issues and help prevent undesirable behaviors such as territorial marking, rug soiling, leg humping, wandering tendencies, or mood fluctuations. By choosing to neuter or spay, you promote a healthier, more balanced, and well-mannered companion.
French Bulldogs are known for their affectionate nature and typically form strong bonds with children, making them wonderful family companions. However, it’s essential to teach children how to interact gently and respectfully with their Frenchie to ensure a safe and positive relationship. Proper guidance helps prevent any mistreatment and fosters a loving, harmonious connection between your child and their furry friend.
Based on extensive research and our own experiences, French Bulldogs generally thrive in the company of other pets. Early introductions significantly enhance the likelihood of successful socialization, fostering harmonious relationships. While every situation is unique, Frenchies typically adapt well to sharing their space with other animals when introduced thoughtfully.
Determining whether French Bulldogs can be left alone during work hours can be challenging. Ideally, someone would be home to keep them company, as Frenchies thrive on human interaction. However, they are generally content to relax around the house until you return from work. While leaving any dog alone all day is not ideal, French Bulldogs can often adapt to short periods of solitude with proper care and a comfortable environment.
No, Frenchies do not require lots of exercise. Frenchies adapt very well to apartment living in urban areas.
We are fortunate to know some dog nannies that will pick up the puppy from us and fly the puppy to an airport near your home where they will hand deliver the puppy to you. This is obviously available on a reservation basis. We attempt to deliver all puppies in this manner whenever possible.
Socialization is crucial for your puppy’s development, but it’s wise to limit their exposure to large groups of people until they’ve completed their full vaccination series. This precaution helps safeguard them against potential illnesses, ensuring a healthy start as they grow into well-adjusted companions.
