At Exotic FrenchBulldogs of North Carolina, we are extremely selective about our dams’ and sires’ lineage, genetics, and health. At any given time, we may have as little as one dam and one sire. Although the market is flooded with French bulldog puppies, we value quality over quantity.
We personally hand raise every puppy in our home. We do not employ other people for even the most menial tasks as this could introduce bacteria or viruses into the puppies environment before their immune systems are equipped.
Frenchies thrive on human contact. They are happiest when part of a family or with a devoted individual who can provide the attention and interaction they need.
It’s essential that children learn the correct way to handle a puppy, and they should always be supervised while interacting with your new companion. French bulldogs are known for their loving nature, making them great playmates, companions, and therapy dogs. They don't need much space to thrive and are equally happy in an apartment as they are in a large home.
French Bulldogs are sensitive to extreme temperatures and should primarily reside indoors in a climate-controlled setting, not outdoors. Bred primarily for companionship, your pup will probably want to spend the majority of their time around your or another member of your family.
Initially, we request all interested parties to fill out the online puppy application. After submission, we will assess your application, which typically takes between one to three business days. Following the review, we'll contact you. As exciting as a new puppy is, we ask for your patience during this process as these puppies are part of our family before they become part of yours. If we determine that your home is a good fit, we'll send you a contract to ensure both you and we are protected and ask you to place a non-refundable deposit of $1,000. Once the deposit and signed contract are received, the most challenging part begins- waiting for your new puppy to reach the minimum age of 8 weeks before they can leave their mother. Full payment for your puppy is expected upon pickup/drop off. Please note that we do not offer payment plans.
If you live in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, we may be able to arrange a meet and greet for you and your puppy before the 8 week mark under controlled circumstances for your puppy’s health.
Yes. The AKC first recognized the French Bulldog in 1898. We sell most of our puppies with a limited AKC registration. This means they’re being sold as pets and the new owner agrees to spay/neuter them after six months of age. These puppies are just as pure bred as those with full registration and they can be entered into most AKC competitions.
French bulldogs are people lovers and want to please. Therefore, they are generally easy to train. They are fairly easy to potty-train.
Neutered and spayed Frenchies are considered best. They tend to have less health issues and tend to not exhibit such annoying habits as marking their territory, soiling the rung, humping a friend’s leg, being a flight risk, or exhibiting mood swings.
Everything we have read and heard suggests Frenchies do love children. Of course, your children must be taught how to behave around them and to never abuse them in any manner.
Everything we have read and heard suggests Frenchies do well around other pets. The earlier the introduction is made, the better the chances of a successful socialization. Of course, every situation is unique but this has been our experience..
This is a difficult question. It is obviously preferable to have someone at home with the Frenchies, but they are generally content to lounge around the house until you come home after work. It is difficult to leave any dog at home all day.
No, Frenchies do not require lots of exercise. Frenchies adapt very well to apartment living in urban areas.
We are fortunate to know some dog nannies that will pick up the puppy from us and fly the puppy to an airport near your home where they will hand deliver the puppy to you. This is obviously available on a reservation basis. We attempt to deliver all puppies in this manner whenever possible.
This question deserves a detailed response so here goes!
Note: This information was collected from various sources believed accurate and reliable. Feel free to conduct your own research.
While it's important for your puppy to socialize, it's best to limit their exposure to large groups until they have had all of their vaccinations to protect them from potential illnesses.
We’d more than happy to keep the puppy with us until you’re ready to bring it home. We do not charge any fees like boarding.
We use Fi for our dogs and love it!
